Responsible work-style
Being a member of the Mori no Office means:
Becoming part of a community that practices a sustainable way of working.
Since 2020, Fujimi Mori Office has been promoting the "GREEN COMMUNITY" project, which aims to spread responsible awareness and behavior towards the natural environment from the workplace. In addition to efforts to improve the environmental impact of office operations and educational activities for office members and local businesses, we are actively supporting the sustainable operation of other coworking spaces and collaborating with sustainability-promoting companies. Efforts to reduce environmental impact are one of the unavoidable business conditions for continuing business on Earth in the future, and as companies around the world begin to face this global issue in the wake of the SDGs, we believe that responsible behavior is also required in office environments and working environments where many people work.
We are the first co-working space in Japan to receive zero waste certification.

In 2021, together with Zero Waste Japan, a general incorporated association, we established a zero waste certification system for coworking and shared offices. In addition to reducing waste in office operations, we upcycle resources and reuse them as office supplies.
The "Zero Waste Certification" was established in 2017 in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima Prefecture, known as the first municipality in Japan to declare a zero waste policy. It was started as a system to provide guidelines for waste reduction efforts for businesses that operate places that connect various entities, as well as to visualize "efforts to reduce waste" that may be difficult to understand or see at first glance. It was initially aimed at restaurants and other stores, but after trial and error with the Mori no Office, it began certifying shared offices in 2021.
The "office" space where we spend our days can be a point of contact where the awareness and actions of individuals intersect with the awareness of companies and business entities. There is an urgent need to transition to a sustainable social and economic system, and large-scale investments and transformation of the entire supply chain are extremely important for the activities of companies and business entities. However, if the awareness and actions of each individual working there are left behind, the entire transformation will not be possible.
As a mechanism to support such daily behavioral and awareness changes, the Mori Office is a place filled with practice and trial and error, and there is no doubt that the time spent thinking with its members will be rich in awareness and emergence. We look forward to seeing more members from here all over the country!

Initiatives at GREEN COMMUNITY
1.
Reducing waste and separating resources
At the Forest Office, we are implementing a variety of initiatives with the aim of achieving zero waste in our office operations.
We are coming up with various ideas for how to prevent waste from being produced in the first place and how to separate waste that has already been produced.
2.
Services, equipment and facilities
The fixtures and fittings in the coworking space have been selected to have as little impact on the environment as possible, and are used by all users.
3.
Upcycling Workshop
Instead of treating trash as waste, we hold workshops where people try to reuse and upcycle materials as usable resources. We make things that can be made using the power of nature. We also borrow the wisdom of local people and have fun expanding our efforts together.
For those using Mori no Office/Coworking for the first time.
